Thanks to all the Gundi's for all their help. Especially Ryan and Erin who drove 3 hours (each way) to bring us a dinner!

Look who dropped in!

We also got a visit from the Hilgendorfs (left) and the Froelichs (right)

Great Neighbors

We are so thankful for great neighbors.
i.e. Harry Potter, a "real" dragon, and a princess

New Playground

This is our new playground (and the official catalog mascot).
We still need to add swings to the right side of it. And a roof to the top.
Also to come... a sandbox..wooo... where will it be?

Thanks to the Brook Family for their generosity.

Enough Said

Welcome Home Caleb

Bad news became good news. The nurses could not get the IV to work with Caleb, so they switched to an oral antibiotic, which allowed us to bring him home. Praise God.

Update

So the doc x-rayed Caleb this morning and found that he still has fluid in his lungs. He and mom will probably stay in the hospital till late Thursday night or sometime on Friday.

Great News! Caleb is recovering much faster than first anticipated. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Caleb's Breathing

They knew Caleb had pneumonia because he was breathing way too fast. Typical breathing is 40-60/min. Caleb was around 120. You can see in this video how fast he is breathing, and this is after he has received some treatment (oxygen).

Caleb is Plugged In

For those of you who do not know, Caleb has pneumonia. It is nothing too serious, but please keep him in your prayers. This means he will probably have to stay in the hospital for a week or so.

As you can see, Caleb is all plugged in. Caleb is spending his day(s) on a baby warmer. Basically it is like a really expensive heat lamp.
You can't see it, but above him is a heater that keeps him warm.
You can see a variety of different instruments connected to him.
  • In his nose is a hose to give him oxygen.
  • The silver patch on his belly tests the temperature
  • The cord taped onto his left foot keeps his heart beat
  • The IV on his right arm feeds him.

Keep Caleb in your prayers.

We want to hear from you!

What TV show are you most looking forward to this Fall Season? Why?

Answer by hitting "comment"

Lady & The Tramp (Wisconsin Style)

Have you seen Lady & the Tramp where the dogs are chewing on two sides of the spaghetti and they meet in the middle?
This is or failed attempt to do that Wisconsin Style.
Two dogs chewing on two sides of string cheese whips and meeting in the middle.

Grandma in Town

On Thursday Grandma got a ride from one of her friends to Wausau Wisconsin. We picked her up and kept heading west to the Gunderson Lake House. On Friday John & Lynn & Tim & Amanda joined us. We took a boat ride out to a beach and played for a while. Then we ended the night with a bonfire on the lake. Thanks Gundi's for the great time.

Corban on the Harp

Check this out, it is pretty amazing.

It is sad when your son (who isn't even two yet) is better than you are.

Corban's first (good) haircut

I cut Corban's hair once before and it did not turn out pretty. Actually, I was ashamed of myself.
Finally, Grandma Gunderson gave him a real hair cut. She used the hose to distract him while she followed him around and snipped.

Block Party

This past Saturday our church hosted a Block Party with lots of fun inflatables. Corban (and daddy) had a blast playing on them.

Video of Corban

Corban was nice enough to give kisses
but it made him very hungry!
