Caleb's Breathing

They knew Caleb had pneumonia because he was breathing way too fast. Typical breathing is 40-60/min. Caleb was around 120. You can see in this video how fast he is breathing, and this is after he has received some treatment (oxygen).

Is Tricia able to nurse him? How does a newborn contract pneumonia... did he have it before birth, or develop it sometime in the past day?

What does Corban think of this new little guy? I love the photo of Dan & Corban with the blue rubber glove... Dan, all the kids on the block miss you!

Just curious... and thinking of you and praying for you all.

This is in response to Ranae's questions.

Tricia is not able to nurse Caleb because he is not getting enough oxygen as it is now. Once his breathing becomes more regular, then she can breast feed.

I guess pneumonia happens fairly often to babies. It is iff they have a lot of ambionic fluid in their lungs (which he did).

Corban is fine with Caleb, but it should be interesting when we come home :)
